Marketplace

As you may recall, ACG Atlanta debuted the Middle Market Marketplace last year at the 2019 Atlanta ACG Capital Connection. This was a pilot project to connect PE Firms directly with fast-growing Middle-Market Companies, and based on the enormous interest and success we will be expanding this program at the 2020 conference. You are invited to participate in this great program at the 2020 Atlanta ACG Capital Connection.

The Middle Market Marketplace

Select private equity attendees will have the opportunity to meet with select Middle-Market companies ACG Atlanta has identified as the fastest-growing in Georgia.

Why Middle-Market Companies Participate

We market it to the fast-growing companies as an opportunity to have low pressure, casual meetings with a variety of investors to build relationships and get a feel for and practice what PE firms will ultimately ask if and when they are ready for funding.

Why PE Firms Participate

For the PE firms, the advantage is being able to get to know and meet with some of these companies very early on, before they go to market. These are companies at various stages of the growth cycle, with the majority having more than $15 million in revenue as per the Fast 40 requirement, which is the main source of companies. PE firms will also be able to submit portfolio companies to participate, so the overall Marketplace will likely include companies from throughout the southeast as well.

Next Steps

There is no additional cost to participate in the Marketplace for sponsors or premium exhibitors, and space is limited. If your firm has an interest, please register as soon as possible for the 2020 Atlanta ACG Capital Connection as a premium exhibitor (the option that includes a meeting roundtable and two attendees) or contact us about sponsorship opportunities. The only way to guarantee access to the Marketplace is by being a sponsor or premium exhibitor. It is unlikely that we will have space for regular PE exhibitors or single PE attendees to register for this exclusive event.

Logistics

The Marketplace will be on the last morning of the conference, Friday, February 7th, to best accommodate the Middle Market CEOs and CFOs who also travel during the week. There will also be an optional culminating lunch with a speaker of interest to the CEOs. Please make your travel arrangements to include a Thursday night hotel stay and an outbound flight after 2pm. Once you have committed, we ask that you prioritize these meetings, as last-minute cancellations reflect poorly on the Marketplace to these successful CEOs and will impact any future invitations to participate.
