Overview

Body
Join ACG Detroit as we sit down with Paul Glantz, co-founder and CEO of Emagine Entertainment.  He will share the unfiltered founder’s journey of building a premium theater brand by obsessing over culture and the guest experience—and how those priorities became even more critical during the unprecedented shock of COVID shutdowns and the uneven recovery that followed.
Paul will discuss the leadership, cash-management, and stakeholder decisions that helped retain key talent, keep teams aligned, and continue investing in the customer experience while navigating severe uncertainty in a challenged industry. He’ll then explain how and when he decided to pursue a transaction, how selling “when you don’t have to” creates deal discipline and changes the negotiation, and what mattered most in choosing a strategic buyer to carry the Emagine brand forward. Paul will be joined by Emagine’s lead outside manager, Brian Brizard, an investor since 2000, who has been by Emagine’s side through the good times, the hard moments, and the monetization process.
