Private equity sponsors offer an attractive opportunity for management teams to partner with a group that can provide access to capital and expertise that can accelerate the growth of a business. This panel will provide an update on the state of the market for private equity sponsorships, consider how deal terms are and may continue to change, and analyze how management teams can partner with private equity during any stage of the business cycle.

You must be a C-Suite of an operating company (minimum of $5 million in revenue) to attend.  If you are not an operating company C-Suite, you must be an ACG member and bring a C-Suite as your guest.

Michelle Eidson

Principal, Head of Business Development

Michelle Eidson, Principal and Head of Business Development, is responsible for devising the firm’s investment sourcing strategy and leading its execution. Prior to joining Crest Rock, Michelle held leadership roles in private equity business development and deal origination for the last eight years as a Managing Director at Shorehill Capital and Vice President at Platte River Equity. 

Prior to working in private equity, Michelle was the Director of Corporate Development for EchoStar Corporation. Her responsibilities at EchoStar included sourcing, evaluating and executing strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisitions to enhance EchoStar’s technology platform. Michelle helped establish EchoStar’s strategic investment practice.

Previously, Michelle was an Associate with Holden Capital, a Denver-based venture capital firm focused on early stage technology investments. Michelle was also an Investment Banking Associate with JPMorgan Chase & Co. She began her career in Cairo, Egypt as a consultant on a USAID-backed project for the Government of Egypt.

Michelle earned a joint MBA/M.A. in international relations from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a B.A. in international studies with a minor in economics from Colby College.

Luis Gomez currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of MultiSource Manufacturing. LLC, a Dunes Point Capital portfolio Company.  Prior to Multisource, Luis was the CEO of Spartaco, a Platte River holding company for Huskie Tools and Jameson.  Before taking the helm at Spartaco, he was the CEO of The Wellmark Company, an Oklahoma-based company, from 2012 until it was sold to the Dover Corporation in 2014.  

Prior to leading these 2 PE-backed platforms, he was President of Tyco Flow Control South America, where he was responsible for four business units and had fiduciary responsibility for all South America.  Prior to Tyco, he held executive roles at Schneider National, HD Supply and GE.  He has also been a board member for several PE portfolio companies and other organizations, such as Profile Products (past), YPO (past), Spartaco (present), Reel Power International (present), and NACD (present).

Luis received an engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Tim Troha

Tim is a co-founder and partner of Industria with more than 15 years of experience providing advice and analysis to investors, entrepreneurs, and policy makers. Prior to forming Industria, Tim was a Director in the Energy group at KPMG Corporate Finance. Previously, he was a Principal in the Energy Services & Technologies group at St. Charles Capital until its acquisition by KPMG in 2014. He began his career in the Division of International Finance at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. Tim is a past and current Board and committee member for nonprofits including the American Lung Association of Colorado and Team Summit, a snow sports youth development organization.

Tim received an MBA with honors from the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado, Boulder. He also attended the London School of Economics, and graduated cum laude from Kenyon College with a dual degree in Economics and Political Science.

Seth Belzley is a partner in the Denver and Houston offices of Holland & Knight.  His practice focuses on advising private equity and strategic clients on a wide range of transactions with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, project development, and complex commercial transactions.  Mr. Belzley has significant experience in the energy and transportation industries that includes representing clients in the pipeline, midstream, oil and gas, renewable fuels, refining, solar and aerospace industries. He has served as lead counsel on over 100 M&A transactions as well as on the development of several significant pipeline, processing and terminal projects in the most important energy hubs in the country.
