The Dealmakers' Forum is designed to bring together and educate the corporate executives looking to buy or sell a business, as well as the broader M&A community of investment bankers, private equity professionals and other trusted advisors about current trends and issues and their impact on deal making activities.

3:00-4:00 pm Program One: Artificial Intelligence in the Deal World – The Future Is Now

How can AI be used by buyers and sellers? Will AI supercharge the deal market or threaten the way it has functioned for decades? How is AI already helping business achieve product and customer objectives? Do buyers and investors have a responsibility to distinguish between “good” and “bad” AI?  Listen as our panel tackles these questions and more about the emerging world of artificial intelligence.

4:00-5:00 pm Program Two: Long Time Operator, First Time Seller

Are you a business owner considering the sale of, or an investment in, your business? Our panel of first-time sellers, private equity investors, and M&A advisors will discuss the following key questions and more:  What is it like to be a first-time seller or negotiate across from a first-time seller, and what could have made it smoother?  What happens after the deal closes?  What can make or break deals involving first-time sellers?  What, at the end of the day, got the deal done?

He actively fundraises for organizations such as Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation, Pelotonia (Fund Cancer Research), and the National MS Society. Chris Picardi began his career at KeyBank in 2011 and currently serves as a Senior Vice President and Sales Leader in the Colorado Commercial banking group where he focuses on M&A transactions. Prior to KeyBank, Chris was an Institutional Sales Associate for D.A. Davidson’s Equity Capital Markets Division.  Chris graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance and Real Estate and earned a Masters of Business Administration degree with a focus on Finance from the University of Colorado Denver.  Chris is a Board Member and serves on the Executive Committee of the Young Americans Center for Financial Education, a non-profit whose mission is to teach young people about finances, economics and business, enabling them to become financially literate and ensure long-term stability for themselves and their families.

Eric has over 30 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions, strategic consulting, and senior operations experience. Prior to joining Excellere, he held a variety of senior positions within both PE-backed and large public companies, where he was responsible for operational effectiveness, executing acquisitions and divestitures, acquisition integration, and developing growth strategies. In addition, he also has advised companies in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, and enterprise value enhancement. Eric spent nearly 15 years in middle-market investment banking, where he was responsible for all areas of client origination, valuation, and M&A transaction management and execution, advising more than 200 clients across a broad range of industries.  He currently serves on the board of ParcelShield Holdings and previously served on the board of TL Life Sciences Solutions prior to its sale.  Eric earned a degree in Business Administration with majors in Finance and Economics from the University of South Florida.
