Overview

Body
Finding and retaining talent to achieve sustainable growth is a primary concern for most middle-market CEOs in Colorado. And, the talent gap stretches across positions--from the executive office to the hourly employee. This pervasive challenge is forcing business leaders to rethink their talent development strategies and explore more aggressive recruiting techniques. In addition, they have to ensure the people they train and develop will stay, which means providing a culture and work environment that is appealing to their sense of purpose and career trajectory. Our CEO panel will share how they are addressing these and other challenges in managing a human capital strategy.

Trends in Talent Management

Mid-size companies generate 60% of new jobs and employ about one-third of U.S. private sector workers, yet these firms consistently report difficulties with talent management, including recruiting, hiring, and retention. Kathleen will frame the program topic with recent research reports and suggestions on how executives can improve their talent management approaches.

Kathleen has decades of earning accolades in the staffing industry. However she determined that traditional models don’t always serve the best interest of clients. She vowed to disrupt the stagnant staffing/recruiting industry. In 2003, Kathleen launched TalenTrust to help companies find, keep, and grow the best people. Her firm’s expert team collaborates closely with executives to identify the root causes—and often interrelated issues—behind a company’s human capital challenges. TalenTrust serves clients across the United States, employs a team of 20+ people, and was listed as an Inc. 5000 fastest growing company in 2015 and 2016. Kathleen is a speaker and the author of a book titled: Solve the People Puzzle; How High-Growth Companies Attract and Retain Top Talent.
