POD - Mt Bierstadt 14'r hike

Join the Denver ACG Professionals Opening Doors (POD) for a summertime hike up a 14'r.  This is a strenuous 7.8 mile roundtrip hike with 2,700 feet of elevation gain.  The weather can be very unpredictable and change at any time.  The objective for the early start is to be able to summit at least one, or perhaps two peaks and be descending prior to noon, when it’s common for afternoon thunderclouds to begin forming.  This hike is for experienced hikers.  Being in good physical condition and carrying at least a quart of water on this hike is strongly recommended.
