Bryan Cummings is a Managing Director and co-leads the US Financial Sponsor Group at Canaccord Genuity, a global investment banking and wealth management firm. Before joining Canaccord, Bryan served as Head of Financial Sponsor Coverage at DA Davidson, a national middle market investment bank. Previously, he founded and led the U.S. middle market sponsor coverage practice at RBC Capital Markets and led corporate development at a global information services firm. With 20 years of experience across investment banking and corporate finance, Bryan also brings extensive MA& and capital markets experience to his clients in the technology, diversified industrial and aerospace/defense industries, with tenures at J.P. Morgan, Bear Stearns and UBS. 

Before beginning his advisory career, he served as a U.S. Army combat arms officer in the U.S. and overseas with a focus on small unit leadership and shoulder-fired Stinger missiles. Bryan holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor’s degree in Politics and Near East studies from Princeton University. Bryan lives with his wife and daughter in New York City.

Brockton Bosson, Chair of Cahill’s Corporate Governance & Compliance Advisory practice group, is an advisor to global companies and their officers, directors, and board committees, focusing on internal investigations, compliance counseling, white-collar defense, and securities litigation.

Brock regularly represents clients before government agencies in criminal and regulatory investigations and enforcement actions relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), cryptocurrency regulation, securities fraud, financial integrity, trade sanctions, anti-money laundering, and corporate social responsibility matters.  He also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations and assisting both multinational companies and governmental agencies in assessing and enhancing their regulatory compliance programs. He frequently conducts anti-corruption compliance due diligence for companies engaging in mergers & acquisitions in jurisdictions with high corruption risk, and he advises clients in designing and implementing post-acquisition compliance integration plans. Brock’s investigations and work in compliance counseling have covered issues in over 50 countries and across a range of industries, including digital assets, financial services, retail, oil & gas, life sciences, consumer goods, real estate, automotive, and aviation.  He currently represents and advises various digital asset trading exchanges, DeFi wallet providers, investment platforms, and other cryptocurrency projects in enforcement actions and regulatory compliance matters.

Before joining Cahill, Brock investigated and prosecuted a range of criminal matters while serving as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney and military prosecutor in the U.S. Army. He also served as a legal advisor for combat operations and contingency planning, and he was frequently the U.S. government’s primary representative, negotiator, or compliance inspector on matters of international law at events throughout the Middle East. In 2014, Brock founded Cahill’s Veterans’ New Business Initiative, through which he and many other Cahill attorneys provide pro bono representation and advice to military veterans who are in the early stages of starting small businesses.

Joshua also previously worked as an investment banking analyst at Stifel in the Electronics and Applied Technologies group where he supported mergers and acquisitions, capital raises and sponsor-backed transactions. Before entering industry, Justin served for 10 years as a US Navy SEAL officer, an experience that shaped his approach to leadership, risk, and problem‑solving. Today, he draws on that foundation to bridge the gap between emerging technology and real‑world operational needs, working with teams and partners to accelerate innovation across the defense ecosystem.

Tess Oxenstierna is a Managing Director and Head of Capstone’s Aerospace, Defense, Government, and Security (ADGS) Group with over 25 years of experience across the ADGS industry, government policy arena, and financial services sector. Tess holds deep domain knowledge and has closed transactions in high-growth markets of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR), and Air/Land/Sea/Space (ALSS) Systems.  

Prior to joining Capstone, Tess founded the Aerospace and Defense practice at a middle market boutique investment bank, focusing on private and public corporate clients with diverse products such as command and control software for aerial drones, satellite-based force tracking systems, and electronic warfare devices used in Afghanistan and Iraq. She has also served as Global Head of Equities Strategy at Lehman Brothers—responsible for strategy development leveraging competitive intelligence, market analysis, and acquisitions across Americas, Europe, and Asia—and Director of Corporate Development and Strategy at Raytheon. Prior to joining the industry, she served in the Reagan White House, U.S. Department of State, and NATO Headquarters. She also holds the rank of Commander, U.S. Navy Reserve (ret.). Tess has a Ph.D. in War Studies, Kings College London, and studied Corporate Finance at Harvard Business School. Recent honors include 2024 Investment Banker of the Year and 2024 Americas M&A Deal of the Year, Global M&A Atlas Awards.

Under his leadership, Tomahawk is dedicated to enhancing public safety by equipping professionals with the skills to respond effectively and appropriately to evolving threats and emergency situations. 

A native of Dunkirk, New York, Mr. Walawender enlisted in the US Navy in August 1999 and graduated from Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training in October 2000. As a distinguished Chief Special Warfare Operator (SEAL), Mr. Walawender retired from the US military in 2014 due to a severe injury sustained during a combat operation. He had a remarkable 15-year career in the Special Operations community, serving five years at SEAL Team TWO and an additional eight years at Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Throughout his tenure, he completed nine deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and various other missions globally. Chief Walawender's exceptional service has been recognized with numerous commendations, including the Silver Star Medal, two Bronze Star Medals with combat valor, two Joint Service Commendation Medals with combat valor, and three Presidential Unit Citations, among others. He currently serves on the Design Advisory Council for the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) Memorial and the board of advisors for Gaffney Bennett PR, a boutique strategic communications and advisory firm.
