Steve Orr is the Chief Investment Officer for Texas Capital’s Private Bank. He is responsible for the strategy, construction and performance of client portfolios and trusts. He serves as the President for Texas Capital’s ETF trust. With over 30 years of portfolio management experience, Steve joined Texas Capital from Communities Foundation of Texas where he managed investments and helped to raise the Foundation’s performance to among the highest in its peer groups of universities and foundations. Prior to Communities, he successfully ran insurance and arbitrage portfolios for Associates First Capital totaling $4 billion and insurance and bond mutual fund portfolios at Caterpillar Inc. He has winning track records in every asset class in which he has invested. Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and a minor in math at the University of Texas at Austin, a Master in Business Administration at Texas State and a Juris Doctorate at St. Mary’s School of Law. He is an attorney, CFA® and CMT® charter holder. He currently leads the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation Investment Committee and is a member of the Parkland Foundation Investment Committee.
