Ideal Candidate and Process

Leadership 20 Nominations and Acceptance

Candidates for the Leadership 20 program are most often nominated by a senior-level leader in their organization who has a vested interest in the professional development of the nominee.  In addition, individuals may also nominate themselves or be nominated by a Leadership 20 alumni outside their organization who knows them though their professional network.  A committee of executives reviews all applications and selects 20 students to participate in the upcoming Leadership 20 class.

Leadership 20 is designed for professionals who:

  • Reside in Colorado and work in M&A‑adjacent or professional services roles supporting middle‑market growth.
  • Have 3 - 8 years of professional experience and are assuming increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Manage people, processes, or client relationships and are ready for expanded influence.
  • Seek structured leadership development that aligns with he demands of high‑velocity deal environments.
  • Value building meaningful business relationships and referral networks.

One of my greatest privileges during my time on the board of ACG Denver has been helping invest in future leaders. Through Leadership 20 and our Young Professionals programs, I've had the opportunity to watch emerging leaders grow, gain confidence, and build lasting connections. Seeing these leaders strengthen our industry and contribute to our community is the legacy I'm most excited about. ACG Denver is the place to be for Denver business leaders.

Dirk Dykson, Portocol Business Strategies, L20 Program Chair
