Alexander Parker, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Buxton Helmsley

Alexander Parker serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Buxton Helmsley, where he leverages his extensive financial and capital markets expertise to drive the firm's strategic direction. With a proven track record in impact-oriented investing to resolve market integrity issues and catalyze positive corporate transformations, he has successfully led many of the firm's initiatives by combining straightforward business acumen with deep knowledge of accounting and legal obligations at publicly traded companies. 

Before establishing his leadership at Buxton Helmsley, Mr. Parker built a reputation as an effective whistleblower, with securities regulators subsequently charging violations at entities he identified. His investor engagement campaigns have gained recognition in prestigious publications, including The Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance. Mr. Parker studied finance and economics at Mercy University of New York City, where he participated in the school's honors business program.

Based in Manhattan, he maintains an influential network that advances Buxton Helmsley's objectives. Mr. Parker has been featured in leading financial publications including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, MarketWatch, The Irish Times, and TheStreet.com. As a licensed investment professional through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and a FINRA-appointed arbitrator, he brings additional credibility and regulatory insight to his leadership role.

Jeff Sands

Jeff Sands, CTP, Managing Director, Dorset Partners

After 10 years leading of operational turnarounds, Jeff partnered with a family office in 2013 to begin buying and fixing distressed industrial businesses.  Since then he has earned the Turnaround Management Association’s prestigious Turnaround of the Year Awards a record three times for each of the following businesses; Vermont Aerospace (2017), Canadian Kraft Paper (2018) and Union Metal Industries (2019). Since 2002, Jeff has transformed scores of businesses in dozens of industries.  Jeff authored ‘Corporate Turnaround Artistry, Fix Any Business in 100 Days’ which was published by J. Wiley & Sons in 2020 and has since been translated into Mandarin and become required reading for several private equity firms and MBA courses.

Joe Sarachek

Joe Sarachek, Managing Partner, The Sarachek Law Firm

Joe is one of the foremost authorities in the trading of privately held distressed debt. Mr. Sarachek is a renowned attorney and investment professional. He first published on trading in claims almost 30 years ago and is an Adjunct Professor at The Leonard Stern School of Business at New York University teaching classes on bankruptcy investing.  He has lectured extensively at Harvard Business School, Harvard Law School, Cornell University, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Turnaround Management Association.   Prior to forming Triax Capital Advisors, an investment advisory firm specializing in bankruptcies, Joe worked for Balfour Investors, an investment firm focused on bankruptcies and turnarounds and  prior to Balfour, he was a partner at the law firm of McDermott  Will & Emery.  Joe has a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.S. from Cornell University. Joe won the Turnaround of Year award for his work as Bankruptcy Trustee of Agriprocessors, Inc. and recently won a Turnaround award from the M&A Advisor for Financials Turnaround of the Year.  Mr. Sarachek has been involved in hundreds of bankruptcy cases throughout his career and uniquely situated to recover assets for his clients.

Randall Jostes

Randall Jostes, CEO, Environmental Liability Transfer

Mr. Jostes founded Environmental Liability Transfer, Inc. (ELT) in 2004 and currently serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Over the past decade, he has dramatically improved the landscape of environmental remediation, redevelopment and corporate sustainability throughout North America by successfully assuming and remediating close to $2 billion in environmental liabilities. His innovative approaches have been the catalyst for the infusion of billions of dollars from new vertical development in once blighted communities. Additionally, Mr. Jostes holds an influential position as a brownfield thought leader and advocate for sustainable development, in this role he serves as an advisor to the EPA-led Superfund Taskforce, a board member for the Department of Energy’s Environmental Management Advisory Board (EMAB), a featured speaker at the past 5 National Brownfield Conferences and many other industry events, an honorary instructor on brownfield development at Rutgers University, and a regular contributor to Bloomberg Environment.
