Andrew Checketts – Managing Director – Cynosure | Checketts Sports Capital

Andrew Checketts is a Managing Director and Partner at Checketts Partners Investment Management, where he helps lead multi-asset investment funds focused on sports, media, and entertainment. In his current role with Cynosure | Checketts Sports Capital, a joint venture between The Cynosure Group and Checketts Partners, Andrew works to identify and grow investments in professional sports teams and related businesses around the world.

Before entering the investment side of sports, Andrew built a career as an operator and strategist—serving as Executive Vice President and General Manager at Varsity Spirit, a Bain Capital portfolio company later acquired by KKR, and as Senior Vice President at Herff Jones. Earlier in his career, he worked as a consultant with Bain & Company and began his professional journey at ESPN.

Andrew earned his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his undergraduate degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University.

Beyond his professional work, Andrew is deeply committed to family, faith, and community. He and his wife are the proud parents of six children, and they love spending time together outdoors, traveling, and following their favorite sports teams. Andrew brings a passion for leadership, teamwork, and values-driven decision-making to both his professional and personal life—principles that guide his approach to business, family, and faith.
