Founding Partner
Flatiron Law Group

As a Founding Partner of Flatiron Law, Lennie specializes in delivering premium deal work for a diverse range of clients. His expertise spans M&A, private equity, venture capital, technology commercialization, and startup advisory. At Flatiron, the firm is committed to providing high-caliber legal services tailored to complex corporate transactions and business needs on a Flat Fee basis.

Lennie's goal is to enable organizations—from global institutions to cutting-edge startups—to navigate the intricacies of strategic transactions with confidence. Drawing on his background in management, strategy, and technology, he craft tailored legal and technical solutions that align with client objectives and drive business growth.

Lennie is also the creator of Deal Driver, a proprietary agentic "Deal Operating System" that mechanizes the M&A process from end to end. Drawing on his computer science training at Boston College, he was the platform's initial architect and software developer and now leads its development teams. Deal Driver sits atop modern LLMs to parse due diligence into structured data and accelerate disclosure schedules and closing deliverables. It is ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR, and HIPAA certified, and is offered commercially through Deal Operating System LLC. Learn more at FlatironLaw.ai.

Before founding Flatiron, Lennie was a partner at Greenberg Traurig, LLP and chaired the Technology & Intellectual Property Practice at Thacher Proffitt & Wood, LLP. He gained recognition as a "go-to" technology expert after September 11, 2001, when the destruction of the World Trade Center—home to Thacher Proffitt's main office—wiped out the firm's entire technology infrastructure. Lennie stepped away from his legal practice to serve as the firm's CIO for six months, leading its rebuild from scratch. Sitting on the buyer's side of the table, rather than representing the buyer, gave him insights that continue to shape his practice today.

Earlier, Lennie was COO and General Counsel of ICF Mercantile, leading its transformation from a distribution business into a state-of-the-art manufacturer—on time and on budget. Before that, he co-founded Tera Group and TeraExchange, serving as President and COO, and built it into the first multi-asset CFTC-regulated Swap Execution Facility, home to the first regulated Bitcoin derivative.
