MEREDITH MCPHERRON

Meredith McPherron is Managing Partner of Drive by DraftKings (DBDK), an independent early-stage venture capital firm, launched in January 2021 with DraftKings as its strategic anchor investor, investing in sports, gaming, and entertainment. A seasoned investor and operator with more than 25 years of experience driving early- and growth-stage ventures to scale and exit, she oversees the firm’s investments, portfolio construction, and operations.

Under Meredith’s leadership, DBDK has raised and deployed its $61M Fund I, investing in 27 companies including six breakout performers. DBDK is now investing out of Fund II, advancing the future of play and performance across three core themes: Gaming, Fandom, and Human Performance.

DBDK’s robust portfolio includes Triumph Arcade, Papaya Gaming, Picklebet, Jump, Cardless, Bandit Running, Ozlo Sleep, and WHOOP, among others.

Immediately prior to founding DBDK, Meredith was a Venture Partner with Glasswing Ventures and Senior Advisor and Board Member for BFY Brands, a Permira-owned company acquired by PepsiCo in 2020. Earlier in her career, she held a range of executive, investing, and advisory roles across organizations including Direct Hit Technologies, TripAdvisor, Salary.com, Guinness Import Company, General Mills, and Goldman Sachs.

Meredith holds B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Harvard University, where she remains a member of the Dean’s Advisory Cabinet for the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering & Applied Sciences. She was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Figures in U.S. iGaming by U.S. iGaming Hub in 2025 and recognized by Sports Business Journal as a “Game Changer” and “Power Player” in 2022.
