Each year, ACG Orlando recognizes middle market companies headquartered in Central Florida whose accomplishments set the standard for operating excellence and second stage growth. The SMART Awards honor organizations demonstrating measurable success, strong leadership, and meaningful community impact.

Who Is Eligible?

To qualify, companies must:

• Generate annual gross revenue between $5 million and $1 billion
• Be headquartered in Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Brevard, Volusia, Indian River, or Polk County
• Operate as a privately held or public operating company
• Demonstrate a positive and sustained growth story

Additional eligibility notes:

• No employee minimum is required
• Wholly owned subsidiaries are eligible if their operational and corporate headquarters are located in Central Florida
• Professional service providers are not eligible
• Prior SMART nominees may apply again
• Past SMART Award winners are not eligible

Self nominations are encouraged.

How Winners Are Selected

Winners are chosen by an independent panel of judges comprised of experienced financial professionals, business owners, executives, academics, journalists, consultants, and other industry leaders.

Companies are evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative factors, including:

• Revenue, profitability, and employee growth
• Innovation and strategic execution
• Corporate culture and leadership
• Entrepreneurial achievements
• Product or service development milestones
• Community involvement

Finalist and Winner Expectations

• CEOs of selected finalists must be available for a 30 minute video interview in late April
• Winners must attend the SMART Awards Luncheon to receive recognition

Confidentiality

All nomination materials are treated with strict confidentiality. Forms are maintained securely and reviewed only by the SMART Awards Selection Committee and the independent judging panel.
