"Fight Referee" Traci Courter will share the fight's rules of engagement, a coin flip will occur and a rousing round of prognostication from some of our association's greatest minds will follow. Judge for yourself and weigh in with your own outlook as we discuss:

  • What direction will interest rates move in 2019?
  • When would the Fed begin to reduce interest rates?
  • Could a strengthening dollar lead to an emerging market debt crisis?
  • What policy measures might the Fed deploy in the event of a downturn?

Robert A. Dye Ph.D. is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at Comerica Bank.  He leads the Comerica Economics Department, which provides research and analysis vital to Comerica and its customers, as well as business leaders and policy makers throughout the country.

Traci Courter (Mercantile Bank)

Traci L. Courter is a 20-year veteran of the banking industry primarily focusing on commercial loan workout. She is presently Vice President of Commercial Risk Assets at Mercantile Bank.
