forum for ACG NY member only PE/IB executives, Lenders and others to share experiences and best practices while developing relationships in a convenient, enjoyable and relaxing setting.

Tim Sznewajs is a Managing Director and Head of Diversified Industrials Investment Banking, where he focuses on Infrastructure Services, Building Products & Materials, and General Industrials. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, he served as the co-head and Senior Managing Director for FMI Capital Advisors for nine years. During that time, he worked exclusively within the Engineering & Construction industry and was responsible for originating and leading numerous high profile infrastructure industry transactions.

Tim began his career in investment banking in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he advised on over $8 billion of buy and sell side engagements. He holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame.

Michael Fieldstone

Mr. Fieldstone is a Partner at Aterian Investment Partners and serves on its Investment Committee. Mr. Fieldstone has been engaged in private equity investing for more than 20 years. Prior to founding Aterian in 2009, Mr. Fieldstone was a Principal at Sun Capital Partners involved with numerous investments including family/founder, corporate carve-out, restructuring and growth-oriented situations as well as a Principal at Apollo Management involved with the diligence, acquisitions and monitoring of investments. Mr. Fieldstone began his career at Salomon Smith Barney as a generalist in the Mergers and Acquisitions Investment Banking group. Mr. Fieldstone received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Group Head & Managing Director, Construction & Engineering

Matt Gibbons is Group Head of the Construction & Engineering commercial banking group with CIBC US in Chicago, Illinois.  He is responsible for managing a group of relationship management professionals that deliver a comprehensive suite of commercial banking, treasury management, investment products, capital markets, private banking and wealth management services through a relationship based model to owners and businesses that operate in the construction industry, including general contractors, specialty contractors, architects and engineers, and building materials suppliers throughout the U.S.  

Gibbons has over 19 years of experience in financial services and joined CIBC US (formerly The PrivateBank) in 2007.  He was most recently Vice President at LaSalle Bank, also with a focus on lending to firms in the construction industry.  

Matt received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University (OH).  He serves on the Board of Trustees of Kohl Children's Museum of Greater Chicago, the Board of Directors of Chicago Building Congress and the Board of Directors of ACE Mentor Chicago.

Jeffrey S. Thiede is President & Chief Executive Officer-Construction at MDU Resources Group, Inc. and President & Chief Executive Officer at MDU Construction Services Group, Inc. (a subsidiary of MDU Resources Group, Inc.). He is also on the board of OEG, Inc.

Mr. Thiede previously held the position of President for Capital Electric Construction Co., Inc.

Jordan Wadsworth, Managing Director, has 18 years of experience in mergers, acquisitions, and leveraged finance.  Jordan co-leads the Los Angeles transaction team and co-leads both the business service and consumer industry investment practices.  He currently sits on the board of Cotton Holdings and Ames Taping Tools.  During his time at Sun Capital, Jordan has worked on dozens of transactions including Robertshaw Holdings, Horizon Services, Dreams Stores, and Sunrise Growers~Frozsun.  

Prior to joining Sun Capital in 2006, Jordan served as an associate at J.P. Morgan in the investment banking group where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, debt financings, and equity offerings. Jordan received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
