Overview

Body

As if deal-making didn’t need another peril…

While asset prices continue to rise in today’s frothy deal environment, risks are rising as well. The panel will explore how cyber threats pose new challenges throughout the entire lifecycle of a deal, and the benefits of recognizing cybersecurity as a critical part of any successful investment. From data privacy and cyber maturity to insurance and the predictive analytics of risk transfer, you’ll learn how enhanced cyber resilience can improve M&A outcomes, from acquisition through growth to divestiture.

McKinsey points out that from the time a deal is announced (even if not publicly) to the time it closes, cyber-attacks on both buyer and seller increase up to 100 times.

Adding cyber awareness as a critical function to your overall due diligence efforts may identify previously unknown risks that could affect transaction costs, valuation, timing, and even a deal’s execution and subsequent company integration.

  1. Cybercrime is the world’s most profitable business, and the middle market is a top target!
  2. Are you buying a ticking time bomb? The need for cyber & privacy due diligence
  3. How understanding risk transfer can help seal the deal
  4. A change in thinking moving forward
