Join the Women in Transactions of ACG Cleveland as we host our summer panel at the Metropolitan at The 9. Come hear from hand-picked experts on why pursuing diversity in your deal teams isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s a must-have in today’s deal environment.

All attendees are welcome to arrive as early as 3:30 PM to engage in a pre-event networking opportunity, check-in to the event, or explore one of the most the unique event venues in Cleveland.
 
This is an event for both male and female professionals that want to diversify their deal-making teams. 
 
At 4:00 PM, Cary Zimmerman (KJK) will moderate a panel featuring:

The panel will discuss key topics of attracting women to the M&A field, including:
  • Why diversity in M&A matters
  • Perceptions of the M&A industry and reframing those perceptions to attract diverse candidates
  • Recruiting efforts – current and future models
  • Creating buy-in from key constituents in your organization
 
At the end of the panel there will be the opportunity to ask questions directly to the panelists – so come ready with questions to ensure an engaging conclusion to the panel!
 
Following the panel, attendees are encouraged to soak up the sun and enjoy a fresh handcrafted cocktail while networking with fellow attendees at a happy-hour at Azure, Cleveland's best rooftop lounge.

Cary brings unique experience to the firm as a partner in KJK’s Corporate, Securities, Private Equity, and Technology practice groups.

She has spent her career counseling executives and owners in launching and profitably growing their companies. For public companies, Cary has prepared shareholder reports, proxies, and corporate governance documents, lead contract strategies and negotiations, secured cost savings and competitive agreements, and assisted in the achievement of multi-state and federal regulatory compliance. For high-growth start-ups and closely held companies, she has assisted founders, investors and other stakeholders with matters related to domicile selection and entity formation, fund formation, fundraising), securities compliance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Cary’s experience comes from a wide range of clients with unique needs, including: financial services companies, software companies, real estate developers, medical marijuana entrepreneurs, breweries, restaurants and bars, registered broker-dealers and investment advisors, healthcare providers, manufacturers and high net worth individuals.

Cary’s leadership also extends beyond KJK, including serving as a board member for the Great Lakes Science Center. In her spare time, she enjoys golf, cycling, cooking, design and craft beer. Cary has traveled across the globe to Australia, Italy, and France, and extensively within the United States to places like Big Sur, the Great Smoky Mountains, and Nantucket. She has proudly called the City of Cleveland home since 2005 and is committed to its revitalization.

Leslie Carno-Harf is the Recruiting Manager with Corporate Search Consultants, Inc. since 2012. Leslie specializes in working within the transactions world and high finance. Her clients include investment banks, private equity firms, family offices, and holding companies. She enjoys working with high level professionals as they challenge her to be her best. Corporate Search Consultants is a boutique recruiting firm which focuses on meeting the client’s needs through customized search. She emphasizes understanding needs and wants, managing expectations, handling all aspects of the search from start to finish, while maintaining honesty and integrity throughout the process. “Our consultative process in hiring allows us to truly find the best talent for our clients and assist candidates through the process as smoothly as possible.” Clients value her thoroughness and honesty, and candidates appreciate her candid but compassionate nature. Previously, Leslie worked as an executive recruiter placing neurosurgeons.

Leslie holds an Masters of Education from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University. When asked how her education has helped in her career, Leslie explains that the training she received as a journalist taught her the importance of asking probing questions and being a good listener and an effective communicator. Her experience in teaching benefits her in many ways including preparing candidates for interviews and educating clients throughout the hiring process.

Christine Jaroszewicz

Christine D. Jaroszewicz is the Chief Human Resources Officer. Previously, Christine was the Director of Human Resources. She has significant experience in industries ranging from technology, to manufacturing, to financial services and consulting. Christine has established herself as a key strategic contributor in the overall growth and evolution of the firm. Areas of expertise and accountability in her current role include long-range organizational planning and development, recruiting and retention programs; employee training and development; HR compliance; and operational administration and supervision.

Prior to joining Stout, Christine provided human resources support, with an emphasis on recruiting and communications, for Prestolite Wire Corporation, a wire and cable manufacturer. Additional responsibilities included managing the integration and assimilation of acquired businesses into the culture of the parent company. Christine also served as Operations Director for Applied Technology, Inc., where she worked in close conjunction with public sector clients and partners including government agencies, school districts and the Department of Defense, and was responsible for project implementation and client relations, as well as operational functions such as human resources, marketing and accounting.

Christine is a member of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management). She supports the American Heart Association's Go Red campaign as a member of the Circle of Red.

Corrie Menary joined Kirtland in 2004 as an intern and returned full-time in 2005. She previously supported the Truck Bodies and Equipment International, Vitex Packaging, and MicroGroup, Inc. investments and currently manages the firm’s investments in EnviroScience. Prior to joining Kirtland, Corrie was an Analyst in National City Bank's Debt Capital Markets group and worked in the bank's credit underwriting group. She received her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and a master’s in business administration from Michigan State University.

Suzanne Miklos, Ph.D.

President and CEO

President and founder of O.E. Strategies, Inc., Suzanne Miklos has over fifteen years consulting experience in a variety of organizational effectiveness activities, including assessment centers, group process, competency based development programs, and culture identification and change programs. Clients appreciate her breadth of experience in talent assessment and executive coaching. Dr. Miklos supports successful client programs with an emphasis on using business strategy and data to drive dialogue about people strategy in manufacturing, professional service and public sector firms. Her project management skills consistently produce on time, value added results for clients. With an emphasis on life long development as a key part of her doctoral program, Dr. Miklos routinely speaks to business and HR groups about cross-generational mentoring, coaching female leaders, and executive development through building emotional intelligence. Dr. Miklos is a member of the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the American Psychological Association (APA). She earned her doctorate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron.
