ACG Cleveland Proud to Announce 2020 ACG Cup® Winner, Case Western Reserve University

Eight teams of students from 5 prestigious universities around northeast Ohio competed in the ACG Cup®, the rigorous investment banking case study competition organized by the Cleveland chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).

Case Western took the top two spots, with first-time-competing school John Carroll University taking third. The first place team included Brittany Folino, Julie Foote, Joseph Kestner, Karan Patel, and Kurt Sardiga. The second place team included Benjamin Giusto, Nicholas Kobernik, Andrew Lease, Alexander Romanowski, and Adam Zybko. The third-placing team from John Carroll included Nic Anderle, Dylan Diemer, Joe Ens, and .Michael McCarty

Ashland University, Case Western Reserve University, John Carroll University, the Ohio State University and the University of Akron sent 38 of their best and brightest to compete in 2020.

The ACG Cup® competition gives students an opportunity to deliver advice on valuation, capital markets, and strategic mergers and acquisitions to a panel of well-versed professionals in the mergers and acquisitions field. ACG chapters across the nation host ACG Cup® competitions, where members create stronger relationships with leading business schools. Additionally, the competition provides corporate growth professionals with the opportunity to connect with up-and-coming talent.

All of the winning teams will be attending the 24th Annual Deal Maker Awards on the January 23rd, and the winning team will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to InterGrowth, ACG Global’s annual conference, which will be held Apr 20-22, 2020 at the ARIA Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, NV. In addition to the prize package, CWRU won guardianship of the ACG Cleveland Cup trophy for one year. Members of the runner-up team will receive cash prizes.
