What's the biggest misconception that people have about your position? 

Clients sometimes think that an M&A attorney merely negotiates legal terms and papers a deal.  But we serve as strategic business partners for clients throughout the process.  We identify legal and business risks and provide solutions for complex issues that arise during the course of a transaction, which can optimize transaction value for clients.

What's the top destination on your must-visit list?

As a former altar-boy and Notre Dame alum, a priest-led pilgrimage to the Holy Land is on my bucket-list.  But with a nine-month-old baby at home, for the foreseeable future, my wife and I might be lucky to get away for a long weekend in Cincinnati!

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be? 

I am a terrible cook, which is a bit of an embarrassment as a full-blooded Italian.  If I could snap my fingers, I would go back in time and learn all of my nonna's best recipes before she passed.  

If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would you choose?

I wouldn't - because that would mean one less day that I would get to spend with my wife, who is truly my soulmate.  But if I absolutely had to, as a lifelong Browns fan, I would probably choose Coach Kevin Stefanski on Super Bowl Sunday in 2022!

What trend do you hope makes a comeback?

Local restaurants.  During the pandemic, I've made it a point to support my local favorites, and it has been heartbreaking to see some great Cleveland restaurants struggling.
