Ten teams of students from eight prestigious universities around Ohio competed in the ACG Cup® Cleveland, the rigorous investment banking case study competition organized by the Cleveland chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).
For a third time in the history of the competition, Case Western Reserve University has taken the Top 3 places.
Ashland University, Baldwin Wallace, Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, Ohio State University, University of Akron, and first-time competitor, Dayton University sent 47 of their best and brightest to compete in 2025.
The ACG Cup® competition gives students an opportunity to deliver advice on valuation, capital markets, and strategic mergers and acquisitions to a panel of well-versed professionals in the mergers and acquisitions field. ACG chapters across the nation host ACG Cup® competitions, where members create stronger relationships with leading business schools. Additionally, the competition provides corporate growth professionals with the opportunity to connect with up-and-coming talent.
All of the winning teams will be attending the 28th Annual Deal Maker Awards and will receive a cash prize.
The premier conference for middle-market M&A will return to the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on April 27–29, bringing together the most influential private equity dealmakers, investment bankers, lenders, M&A partners, and strategic acquirers—all under one roof.
