Body
The VIP Family Office Series of events and programs is a strictly Single Family Office peer-to-peer series of meetings for ACG NY members and invited SFO guests. Participants can share and discuss Family Office best practices while developing relationships in a convenient, enjoyable setting.
 
 The next session of the series on March 30th, will feature peer to peer networking and a lively discussion and conversation with guest speaker, Peter Cecchini, who will discuss global macro-economic dynamics and how market forces may affect the middle market deal making community including Family Offices within.  
 
This session will be in-person. Location to be provided upon registration approval.

Peter Cecchini

Axonic Capital
Director of Research & Head of Macro Strategy

Peter Cecchini currently serves as Axonic Capital's Director of Research and head of macro strategy. Axonic is an asset management platform focusing on real estate and structured credit, including commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities and loans, asset-backed securities within the aviation industry, collateralized loan obligations, credit and equity securities related to real estate, as well as various single-name and index credit default swaps.

Formerly, he was the Founder and Chief Strategist at AlphaOmega Advisors (AOA), an independent research and consulting firm (@CecchiniPeter). Prior to founding AOA, Peter was Cantor's Global Chief Market Strategist as well as Head of Cross Asset Strategy. He co-chaired the firm's markets committee consisting of the firm's business heads. Previously, he served as Cantor's interim Co-Head of Equities. From January 2007 to December 2009, Peter was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Seven Bridges Management, LP. Seven Bridges was an event-driven, special situations hedge fund seeded by Ulysses Management (the successor to Odyssey partners). Prior to Seven Bridges, Peter spent four years at BNY Mellon's predecessor, Mellon Financial Corporation (within its Mellon HBV Alternative Strategies, LLC subsidiary) most recently as a Managing Director and group head of distressed investing. He directed securities selection, portfolio construction and portfolio hedging. Until its acquisition by Mellon Financial, he spent three years as an analyst and senior analyst at HBV Capital Management. From 2005 through 2007 and upon its emergence from bankruptcy, he sat on the Board of Directors of a North American integrated aluminum producer. Peter has served on numerous equity, unsecured, secured and bank steering committees. Peter speaks routinely at conferences and appears on various media outlets.

Education: He holds an MBA from Columbia University (Dean's List), a JD from Boston University School of Law (American Jurisprudence Scholar) and a BA from Haverford College (in Economics). He is an inactive Member of the NY State Bar.
